Schaefer, Elaine (Marriage - 23 Aug. 1950)

Miss Elaine Schaefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Schaefer, and George Rueden, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rueden, all of Abbotsford, Route 1, exchanged marriage vows Wednesday morning at St. John’s Catholic church, Wuertburg. The Rev. Garlan Mueller read the service at 7:00 o‘clock and the nuptial mass. For her wedding, the bride chose a suit of navy blue with white accessories. She wore a corsage of red roses and white carnations.

Her only attendant was her cousin, Mrs. Benny Olson, Wausau. She wore a gray suit with white accessories and a corsage like the bride’s.

Mr. Olson was best man.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Supper for 30 guests was served at the Sky Lite Steak House, followed by a wedding dance at Walter’s Pavilion.

Guests from Wausau, Unity, Stetsonville, Dorchester and Abbotsford attended the wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Rueden are at home on a farm east of Abbotsford, Wis. The bride is employed in the office of Laabs Cheese Co. at Milan.

Mr. and Mrs. Rueden plan to take a wedding trip in September.
